Last updated September 25, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information R5 Laundry collects, why it is used, when it is shared, how long it is retained, and how a customer can request access, correction, or deletion. It applies to r5laundry.com, online and phone bookings, service communications, invoices, and related customer support.

Technical information generated by the website and its providers, such as IP address, browser type, device type, timestamps, security logs, and pages or features used.
Square processes payment-card information. R5 Laundry does not receive or store full card numbers or card security codes through the website.
2 How we use information
R5 Laundry uses personal information to
confirm eligibility and availability and complete pickup and return
follow service preferences and communicate about an order
prepare and deliver invoices, confirm payment, issue refunds, and maintain transaction records
manage cancellations, waitlists, promotions, customer support, and service claims
protect customers, the business, the website, and payment systems from error, abuse, fraud, or security threats
maintain, test, and improve website reliability and business operations

3 How we share information
R5 Laundry shares personal information only as reasonably needed for service, operations, security, or legal obligations. Recipients may include:
Square, which creates invoices and processes payments and refunds
website hosting, database, file-storage, email-delivery, and business-email providers, including Vercel, Resend, and Google Workspace
contractors who maintain the website or support business operations and are authorized to use information only for that work
accountants, insurers, legal advisers, regulators, courts, or law enforcement when disclosure is required or reasonably necessary
a buyer or successor in connection with a merger, sale, financing, or transfer of the business, subject to applicable law
R5 Laundry does not sell personal information and does not use personal information for targeted advertising or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
4 Cookies and technical data
The website and its service providers may use essential cookies or similar technology for security, form operation, session continuity, fraud prevention, and basic performance measurement. R5 Laundry does not use advertising cookies at launch. Browser controls may block cookies, but blocking essential cookies can prevent booking or administrative functions from working.
5 Data retention
R5 Laundry keeps transaction records needed for tax, accounting, dispute, and legal purposes for up to seven years. These records may include service date, order number, weight, subtotal, discount, tax, total, invoice number, payment status, and related timestamps.
Personal details attached to an individual job, such as service address, gate code, phone number, washing notes, and access instructions, are scheduled for deletion or de-identification within 90 days after the service is completed or canceled, unless they are needed for an active claim, a legal obligation, fraud prevention, or another documented business reason. De-identified records may be retained for analytics and bookkeeping. Backups and third-party systems may retain information for a limited additional period under their normal deletion cycles.
6 Data security
R5 Laundry uses reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the size and nature of the business. These measures include limiting access, using reputable service providers, separating test and production systems, and avoiding storage of full payment-card numbers. No website, network, transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
7 Customer privacy choices
A customer may ask R5 Laundry to confirm whether personal information is being processed and may request access, correction, deletion, or a portable copy when applicable. A customer may also ask questions about retention or withdraw optional marketing consent. R5 Laundry does not sell personal data, use it for targeted advertising, or use it for qualifying profiling, so there is no related sale, targeted-advertising, or profiling activity to opt out of at launch.
Submit a request to info@r5laundry.com with the subject Privacy Request. Include the name, email address, phone number, and service address used for the booking. R5 Laundry may request reasonable verification before acting. R5 Laundry aims to respond within 45 days and will explain any denial or permitted extension. If a request is denied, reply with the subject Privacy Appeal and explain why the decision should be reconsidered.
8 Children
The website and services are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 13. R5 Laundry does not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. A parent or guardian who believes a child provided information should contact info@r5laundry.com.
9 Third party services and links
Square and other service providers maintain their own privacy practices. A link to another website does not mean R5 Laundry controls that website. Customers should review the applicable provider's privacy notice when leaving r5laundry.com or using a provider-hosted payment page.
10 Changes and contact
R5 Laundry may update this Privacy Policy as services, providers, or legal requirements change. The effective date identifies the current version. Material changes will be posted before they apply when required. Privacy questions and requests may be sent to info@r5laundry.com.
